Peyton is gelukkig getrouwd, totdat haar man, die dokter is, beschuldigd wordt van het lastigvallen van één van zijn patiënten. Hij kan het niet aan en pleegt zelfmoord en Peyton's wereld stort in. Om wraak te nemen solliciteert ze bij Claire, degene die de beschuldiging heeft geuit. Claire neemt Peyton aan zonder te weten wie zij werkelijk is. Peyton terroriseert het gezin en verleidt de man van Claire om zo haar leven te kunnen verwoesten.
