Elwood Blues komt uit de gevangenis en wil zijn Blues Brothers Band weer leven inblazen. Als hij bij het weeshuis komt waar hij en zijn inmiddels overleden broer zijn opgegroeid, splitst moeder Stigmata hem een wees in de maag met de naam Buster Evan Bonifant. Ook Buster blijkt een goede aanvulling voor de band.
