Steve Hollis heeft genoeg van het bandje waar hij zorg voor draagt. Toevallig ontdekt hij dan de muziek van Bill Haley and his Comets en probeert hij een contract te sluiten met de groep. Al snel wordt hij ook nog eens verliefd op Lisa, de danseres van de groep.
