Dit vervolg op The Haunting in Connecticut (2009) laat zien hoe een familie op afgrijselijke wijze terecht komt in een eeuwenoude Zuiderse hel. Wanneer Andy Wyrick (Chad Michael Murray, House of Wax) samen met zijn vrouw Lisa (Abigail Spencer, Mad Men) en dochter Heidi verhuist naar een historisch huis in Georgia, ontdekken ze al snel dat ze de enige inwoners zijn van het pand. Samen met Lisas losbandige zus Joyce (Katee Sackhoff, Battlestar Galactica) krijgt de familie te maken met een mysterie die ontstond vanuit een krankzinnig verlangen. Wat dit ook moge zijn, niemand in het huis is zijn of haar leven meer zeker.
